Heating System Repair
A water-to-air heat exchanger that provides heat to the passenger compartment airstream. Hot coolant from the engine circulates through the tubes in the heater core.
Cooling System Repair
A system that cools and dehumidifies air entering the passenger compartment. The system uses a refrigerant to cool the air and carry heat away from the passenger compartment. Major system components include a compressor, condenser, evaporator, accumulator or receiver/dryer, and orifice tube or expansion valve. Do not intermix different types of refrigerants in an A/C system. Use the type specified by the vehicle manufacturer (R-12 for most 1994 & older vehicles, or R-134a for most 1995 and newer vehicles).

Brake System Repair
The brake system uses hydraulic pressure to stop the vehicle when you step on the brake pedal. Pushing the pedal down pumps fluid from the master cylinder to the brakes at each wheel. This squeezes the brake linings against the rotors and drums, creating friction that brings the vehicle to a halt. The only maintenance the system requires is to check the fluid level periodically, and to replace the fluid every couple of years-or when brake repairs are performed.
Modern automotive braking systems combine leverage and multiplied hydraulic force to stop your vehicle. Pressure is generated once your foot presses the brake pedal to slow or stop the vehicle. ABS - Anti-Lock Brake Systems intervenes by modulating the brake pressure to prevent the wheel from locking up.

Alignment and Suspension Repair
Wheel alignment is important to the health of your car or truck. If you hit a massive pothole, you might bump your suspension out of the carefully calculated locations that the components have been set. All of the elements that make your car go straight are called "alignment." Some shops try to make it seem like rocket science, but wheel alignment is a fairly straightforward affair. The inclusive term "wheel alignment" involves three main measurements -- caster, camber, and toe. These measurements have standards that a technician uses as targets of adjustment. In other words, get as close as you can to the right measurement. The good news is that most modern cars only have adjustments for toe. Caster and camber went the way of the dodo thanks to the McPherson strut.
