Our Certified Technicians:

ASE has years of experience helping the automotive industry verify the skills and knowledge of automotive technicians through a rigorous series of tests. We have been awarded the ASE Blue Seal of Excellence because all of our technicians carry one or more ASE Certifications. Car owners and the service and repair industry regard ASE certification as the standard measure of competency and a guide to quality auto repairs.

Rudy Vander Upwich – ASE Certified Service Manager

Rudy has spent most of his professional life taking care of families and their vehicles. He grew up in his dad's auto shop, owned his own auto repair shop for many years, and has over 40 years of progressively responsible customer service in automotive repair. His family and his life are built on honesty and integrity in all he does. Rudy says he is very happy to be at Christian Brothers because, compared to other repair shops where he has worked, the CBA philosophy blends perfectly into his own life.
Raymond "Skip" Unsworth - ASE Certified L-1 Master Technician - ASE Certifications: Engine Repair, Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Manual Drive Train and Axles, Suspension and Steering, Brakes, Electrical/Electronic Systyems, Heating and Air Conditioning, Engine Performance

Skip shares the office and counter work with Rudy, and also helps in the shop when diagnostic detail is needed with the junior staff. He has almost 30 years of professional experience, mostly with dealers. Skip enjoys the smaller independently owned auto repair shops due to the impersonal big dealer approach and their failure to treat customers and staff with dignity. He has a fascination with knowing how to take anything apart and put it back together, and applies that enthusiasm to fixing your vehicle perfectly.
Pete Flores – ASE Certified Master Technician

While at trade school for automotive technology, Pete loved seeing the results of his training and the way vehicles ran. Over the years, his preferences and approach has changed, moving in the direction of serving the customer as family, THEN focusing on the vehicle. This is the reason Pete is at Christian Brothers, we serve the CUSTOMER, then the vehicle. Whether a ride home, a drink of water or other beverages, CBA focuses on the same things Pete prioritizes in his life.
Luis Beltran – ASE Certified L-1 Master Technician - ASE Certifications: Engine Repair, Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Manual Drive Train and Axles, Suspension and Steering, Brakes, Electrical/Electronic Systyems, Heating and Air Conditioning, Engine Performance

Louis has always been interested in taking things apart, starting with bicycles at age 13, three years of auto shop in high school, then ending as a Level II BMW specialist. Luis serves as the youth staff member at his local church body, and spends his free time with his many family members. Luis chose Christian Brothers because of the opportunity to serve His Savior, Jesus Christ and get paid for it as he serves our customers.
Joey Decker - ASE Certified Technician - ASE Certifications: Suspension and Steering and Brakes

Joey has always enjoyed working on race cars (and still does in his off time), computerized vehicles, and anything mechanical with an engine. While he has been around various aspects of the industry for several years, including fabrication and body shop, he is now working toward mastery of all areas of technical vehicle expertise. Joey believes that the environment at Christian Brothers is so much better than other shops/dealerships, with honesty in everyday work toward how the customer is treated.
Saul Carranza - ASE Certified L-1 Master Technician

Saul's way of worshipping God is combined with his daily work in helping our customers, his love for his family in serving them when off duty, and in his service to his church body. He sees all this as his worship and service to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Saul likes working at Christian Brothers Automotive because of the company philosophy of families being together to worship on the weekend.
